Man found dead on railroad tracks in Milwaukie

MILWAUKIE, Ore. – Police said a man was found dead on the railroad tracks in Downtown Milwaukie Saturday morning.

Officer Ulli Neitch said it appeared the man was hit and killed by a train.

A passerby found the body on the tracks between Southeast Harrison Street and Monroe Street just after 7 a.m.

The last train passed that location at 8 p.m. Friday, Neitch said.

The man’s name has not been released.
