Field day guide: Free movie screening, DuneFest and a renaissance festival

You know the old saying 'all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.' Don't be like Jack - make some plans now to have some fun. Here are a few ideas to get you out and about:

Free Film Screening: The Trembling Giant

Two years in the making, The Trembling Giant captures the beauty of big game hunting in the Rocky Mountains and the unique connection between man, animal and nature. It was filmed in Colorado's Flat Top Wilderness and follows a variety of hunters and guides as they escape into the rugged mountains on horseback and foot in hopes of calling a mature bull.

The film is being screened on Thursday, August 15 at the Bagdad Theater & Pub. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the film starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are free - you can pick them up at the Danner Factory Store at 12021 N.E. Airport Way in Portland or at the door (a limited quantity will be available).
