PORTLAND, Ore. – Police are looking for a suspect after a man was shot twice outside a Northeast Portland apartment complex early Tuesday morning.
Officers received a report of shots fired in the 10500 block of Northeast Fremont Street at around 1:30 a.m.
Witnesses told police they heard several shots and saw several vehicles leave the area. Police said they didn’t find any victims at the scene.
A short time later, police said a gunshot victim arrived at Portland Adventist Medical Center. William Rasmussen, 45, was shot twice but is expected to survive. He told police he was in the parking lot of the apartment complex when the suspect approached him and fired at him for no reason.
Police said Rasmussen couldn’t provide any information about the suspect.
