Motorcyclist critically hurt after NE Portland crash

PORTLAND, Ore. -- A motorcyclist was in critical condition Monday afternoon after crashing into a car in Northeast Portland, police said.

The motorcyclist was riding south on Northeast Martin Luther King Boulevard when he lost control of his bike near Prescott Street and hit a car also heading southbound in another lane.

The man, not yet identified by police, was critically wounded and rushed to a Portland area hospital.

At 3:30 p.m., Southbound Martin Luther King Boulevard was blocked, as traffic investigators processed the crash scene.
