Electricity restored for most of 16,000 Pacific Power customers who lost it

PORTLAND – All but about 350 Pacific Power customers in Northeast Portland have had their electricity restored after a widespread outage early Thursday evening.

Pacific Power spokesman Tom Gauntt said the outage was caused by a car accident at 57th and Fremont that took down some power lines.

The affected areas were Sullivan’s Gulch, Hollywood, Rose City, Cully, Beumont-Wilshire, and Alameda.

The outage originally wiped out power for 16,000 customers.
