PORTLAND, Ore. -- A Portland woman was arrested Thursday after she allegedly went to an assisted living facility and pulled a wedding ring off a 92-year-old woman's finger against her will, police said.
Portland police arrested 46-year-old Theresa Reba Mozell White Thursday in connection to the alleged theft that happened in July.
Police said White went into the Northeast Portland assisted living facility's dining hall. She noticed the elderly resident and pulled the wedding ring off her finger, police said.
The ring was found at a nearby pawn shop and, through transaction records, police identified White as the suspect.
The assisting living center was not identified.
White was booked in the Multnomah County Jail on suspicion of third-degree robbery, first-degree theft and second-degree theft.
