PORTLAND, Ore. – Police arrested a man after a standoff at a home in Northeast Portland early Monday morning.

Police said Jordan Sterling Willis, 33, was wanted on 62 charges related to domestic violence. Willis was taken into custody without incident, police said. He did not have any weapons at the home.

The Special Emergency Reaction Team (SERT) was called the scene at around 5:30 a.m. Police said Willis and his girlfriend refused to come out of a house.

A crisis negotiation team was also at the scene near Northeast 109th Avenue and Wygant Street.

Police told KATU they were serving an arrest warrant on domestic charges at the home when Willis refused to come outside. Police closed Northeast Wygant Street from 107th to 112th avenues and told neighbors to stay indoors.

Willis is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.

Willis' girlfriend, Rochele Fontenot, was arrested on a probation violation, police said.

KATU's Hillary Lake contributed to this story.
