OREGON CITY, Ore. - A three-year-old girl is in critical condition but improving after she fell into a crawl space at a home her mother was viewing with a rental agent on Monday evening.

The girl, who had been playing under the stairs of the Meyers Road home with her brother, fell five or six feet.

She was knocked unconscious, briefly treated at the scene, then airlifted to Doernbecher Children's Hospital.

Luckily, the crawl space was easily accessible, so a crew from Clackamas Fire Department was able to quickly get to the girl and immobilize her before pulling her out.
