Police make arrest in fatal Oregon City stabbing

OREGON CITY, Ore. – Police arrested a 34-year-old man Monday after they say he stabbed his domestic partner to death Sunday morning.

Tony Lopez Lozano was arrested at about 6:45 p.m., police said.

Brian Romo died of a stab wound at his Oregon City home early Sunday morning, according to police.

Someone called police to report a man was not breathing just before 4 a.m. Sunday. Officers responded to the home at 1020 Hazelwood Drive.

Police determined the man was dead shortly after they arrived, according to Officer Tanner Crivellone.

Police are still investigating and conducting interviews with witnesses.

Lozano is being held without bail in the Clackamas County Jail.

He faces a charge of murder and is expected to be arraigned Tuesday, police said.
