SALEM, Ore. - A Salem company will rebuild a section of Highway 20 where trouble with landslides led to years of delays.

The long-stalled project near Eddyville started in 2005 and was supposed to end in 2009, but the land kept moving.

The Oregon Department of Transportation even demolished some partially built bridges because they were unsafe. The agency now says it is ready to move forward by moving lowering the road level and improving drainage on the pavement.

The project is now slated for completion by 2016. K&E Excavating Inc. will be doing the work.
