Cyclist reeking of B.O. and alcohol robs SE Portland cafe

PORTLAND, Ore. - A smelly, bicycle-riding robber held up a local restaurant early Friday morning.

The crime happened around 5:45 a.m. at Oliver's Cafe at Southeast 89th and Foster Road.

A woman who works there told police when she showed up at the cafe Friday morning, a man who smelled of body odor and alcohol rode up to her on a bicycle, turned her around and held something sharp against her back.

The man demanded money and after getting some cash from the woman, he took off, according to a police spokesman.

The suspect is a white male, about 5 feet, 6 inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing a black rag over his face and dark clothes. The bicycle was a BMX-style bike.
