Car crashes into Plaid Pantry in SE Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. – Police are looking for the driver who car crashed a car into a Southeast Portland convenience store and drove away early Thursday morning.

The car crashed into a Plaid Pantry near SE 82nd Ave. and Duke St. just after 4 a.m.

Police said the female driver crashed the car into two other vehicles while driving away from the scene. Witnesses told police the driver and a male passenger abandoned the car near SE 81st Ave. and Tolman St. and ran away.

Officers found the passenger and took him into custody, according to Sgt. Pete Simpson.

Police say they do not have the driver in custody at this time.
