Washougal man, 73, stabs live-in caregiver

WASHOUGAL, Wash. (AP) - The Skamania County sheriff's office says a 73-year-old man stabbed his live-in caregiver at his home in Washougal.

The 30-year-old woman was taken to a hospital.

The 73-year-old man, David L. Simmons, refused to come out of the home.

He was arrested Monday with the help of the Clark County SWAT team and jailed on suspicion of assault and domestic violence.
