Two women tied up during armed robbery at Wilsonville hotel

WILSONVILLE, Ore. – Two women were setting up for breakfast service at a Wilsonville Hotel on Friday morning when an armed, masked man stormed in and robbed them, according to sheriff’s deputies.

The suspect pointed a gun at the two employees and then tied them up, according to Deputy Bryon O’Neil with the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office. He then briefly let one of them loose to empty the cash drawer at the front desk.

The robbery happened at 4:15 a.m. at the La Quinta Inn on SW Sun Place, which is just off I-5.

The suspect also took the women’s purses before he fled, O’Neil said. The employees got free after the suspect left and called 911.

The two women were not physically hurt.

Clackamas County deputies and police officers from Wilsonville rushed to the hotel after getting the 911 call but did not find the suspect.

O’Neil said he is likely 20-25 years old with a medium build and dark skin. Police don’t have an exact height, but said the man is “medium height.”

He was wearing a black ski mask, long sleeve shirt and gloves during the robbery.
