BLUEGRASS TO BENEFIT FOODSHARE PROGRAM

Family friendly, oustandingly entertaining, award winning original roots bluegrass group Kathy Boyd & Phoenix Rising will appear at The Grand Theater, located at 187 High Street NE in Salem on Friday, November 6th beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Based out of the Portland and Salem areas, this group has had a busy year with the release of their CD "stories never told", tours throughout the Northwest and Northern California, and the naming of guitar player Dennis Nelson as "Roots Music Association Bluegrass Songwriter of the Year" (mandolin player Tim Crosby was a Top 5 nominee in this same catagory).

The band will be featuring original tunes off their upcoming gospel CD release "Walk Humbly" due out March os 2010.

Tickets are $12 in advance and are available online through the bands website (www.phoenixrisingband.org), at The Grand Theater or at Uptown Music in Keizer. Tickets are $15 at the door.

The Marion-Polk Foodshare Program will have barrels in the lobby of the theater, so please bring a can or two of food to help our neighbors in need.
