Hey Rhonda, Thought I'd send in this pic to see if it's worthy a TV spot. My friend and I were fishing with Terry Mulkey of Mulkey's Guide service on the Nestucca river Thurs. Feb. 21st. We had fished the Wison early a.m. til lunch then traveled to the Nestucca for the afternoon. The Wilson was very slow that day, no Steelhead but did catch a nice 16-18lbs chrome Chinook but had to release it, that was a lot of fun on light Steelhead gear, 10lb main 8lb leader. Sorry to ramble, Back to the Nestucca, during our float we hooked 2 Steelhead and lost one and were within sight of the take out boat ramp. Terry the guide rebated us and we started through the last 200+yrds of our trip when my friend Mikes rod went down and fish-on I started to reel in to get out of the way, when my rod had resistance and I thought at first I was tangled with him, but no, my line took off and away we went with a double, his went downstream and mine went up. Very exciting and challenging, well after about 10-15 min.,thanks to the expert guidance of Terry, we landed both fish. Mikes was an average 7 lb Steehead, but wow, mine was a dandy - weighed 17lbs on the scale. Needless to say that was a fantastic and exciting way to end our day of fishing. - Lance Griffin Wilsonville Oregon
