Neighbors were credited with rescuing an elderly couple - one of whom was confined to a wheelchair - after their Hillsboro home caught fire Sunday afternoon. Investigators blame a faulty bathroom exhaust fan.
Police on Sunday were searching for a heavyset man who is accused of assaulting a MAX fare inspector who removed him from the light rail train for failing to pay for the ride. It was not immediately clear what injury the fare inspector suffered.
