SE Portland coffee stand robbery suspect's big take: $2

PORTLAND, Ore. – Police are looking for a female robbery suspect after a morning holdup at a southeast Portland coffee stand.

The owner of the Mocha Express, located near Southeast 39th Avenue and Southeast Powell Boulevard, said he confronted the woman after she pulled up to the stand and pulled up her clothes to reveal she had a gun in her waistband.

The employee working at the time of the robbery said the woman got $2 (two dollars) in the robbery and fled when the owner suddenly appeared.

She is described as about 5 feet tall and she masked her identity with a black scarf across her face. She was also reportedly wearing a black hoodie and driving a Ford or Pontiac sedan.

The owner of the stand told KATU News he had been considering installing a video security system and will now likely take that step.

Meanwhile, police were investigating another robbery close by.
