PORTLAND, Ore. - Sen. Barack Obama will be holding a rally in downtown Portland on Sunday, which means some traffic closures.

The following closures are subject to change but here is what police have planned so far:

  • The northbound lanes on Southwest Naito Parkway will be closed from Southwest Clay Street to Southwest Salmon Street at 7:30 a.m.
  • The southbound lanes on Southwest Naito Parkway will be closed from Southwest Market Street to Southwest Taylor Street at 11:00 a.m.
  • Southwest Naito Parkway will not reopen until between 4:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.

You can probably expect the buses and MAX trains running in downtown Portland to be affected as well.  For the latest updates, head to TriMet's Web site.
