ODOT Region 1:

  • Historic Columbia River Highway is closed by slides between the Vista House and Multnomah Falls.
  •  U.S. 26 (Mt. Hood Highway) is closed between Sandy, milepost 24, and the Alder Creek area, about milepost 35. A landslide closed all lanes of the highway about 10:20 p.m. Thursday, Jan 1. The eastbound automobile detour uses county roads Ten Eyck Road, to East Marmot Road, to East Barlow Trail Road, to East Sleepy Hollow Drive, back to U.S. 26. Large trucks cannot use this detour; they should use I-84 through the Columbia Gorge to either Oregon 35 or U.S. 97. The westbound detour is the opposite route in each case.
  • OR 99E northbound has high water in several places between Oregon City and South End Road; expect delays.
  • OR 212 is closed by high water near U.S. 26 (Mt. Hood Highway).
  • OR 213 is closed at Meyers Rd, milepost 3.8; high water and mud block the highway at several places between Oregon City and Mulino.

ODOT Region 2:

  • New: Oregon 22 (North Santiam Highway) is cleared, east of Stayton, where fallen trees had closed the highway.
  • U.S. 101 (Pacific Coast Highway) is open near Seaside at mile point 23. Drive with caution through the area.
  • U.S. 101 in northern Tillamook is closed at mile points 64.5 65.5. A detour is in place.
  • U.S. 101 is closed at mile point 83, four miles north of Cloverdale, because of a debris slide.
  • Oregon 6 (Wilson River Highway) is also closed because of high water from mile points 1- 2.5, just east of Tillamook. A detour is in place using local roads.
  • Oregon 22 (Three Rivers Highway) is closed from mile points 10 22, between the junction with Oregon 18 (Salmon River Highway) and U.S. 101, where crews report high standing water.
  • Oregon 153 (Bellevue-Hopewell Highway) is closed one mile east of its junction with Oregon 18 due to high water.
  • U.S. 20 (Corvallis-Newport Highway) is closed at mile point 21 to do rock and debris sliding onto the roadway.
  • Oregon 34 (Alsea Highway) is closed at mile point 31 with fallen trees on the highway.

Drivers should visit TripCheck prior to leaving, slow down and be prepared for water on the roadway.
