Cop buys shoes for homeless man
One tourist's photograph, among the countless snapped every day in New York, has gone viral. The moment captured is one of generosity and since it was posted, it has circled the globe and brought a lot of attention to one young New York City cop. Mary Snow explains why.

Wow, may God Bless this Officer for his kindness! Â I think we could all learn a lesson from this. Â I remember when I was little, that my Parents used to drive my Sister and I to Downtown Seattle, and we would hand out a bag that had gloves, socks, a warm hat, and hot cocoa, and we would hand them out to the homeless. Â We have a lot of homeless folks in Downtown Portland that could sure use the same kind of love....
This story actually brought tears, empathy, sorrow, and eventually a smile at the generosity of the police-officer with a heart and capacity to really care..... if more of us took the time this would certainly be a better world....
