Hotel workers get $0 paycheck
Imagine opening your paycheck and seeing it was for zero dollars -- that's right, zero! That's exactly what happened to employees at a hotel that was dubbed "America's Dirtiest" by TripAdvisor in 2011. And if that's not bad enough, they say they were also evicted from their homes and have no place to go. Reporter Mona Nair spoke with employees who say they never went public about the poor working conditions at the hotel, until now.
Once, on a vacation trip through Tennessee, my daughter and I stopped in several cities to check out the sights and sounds. REGRETTABLY, we stayed at this place. It was the ABSOLUTE pits (approximately 8 or so years ago). Phone system was probably antiquated East German Military equipment. The bathroom wallpaper was peeling, mildew. We ended up leaving after the first night. I ended up posting a warning at that time on Trip Adviser about this place.

Not sure how to say this but the irony (and sad part) is: this placed professed to be a "Christian" centered establishment. They have a conference/music hall next to the hotel where they would hold Gospel conventions and competitions. That is what this place was known for.
 @GeauxOSU This pictures on tripadvisor are just awful. How in the world did such a nice place get in this severe state of disrepair? Hopefully it will get new owners that will restore it to it's original beauty.
 @Lips The irony is: there are many "family motels" which are also in a state of disrepair. They too should be shut down but the city does not seem to be too concerned as they make their money off of all the tourists. It's a huge tax bonanza for Sevier County and the city of Pigeon Forge. When the chamber of commerce and perhaps the city's health dept take notice and say "hey, the tax receipts are down, we're not making enough" is probably when they'll figure that something is up with the quality of motels/hotels in the area.
 @GeauxOSU Yeah, that's why I stick to name brands where I know that consistent QA inspections are happening. Surprised the city hasn't added a ''tourism fee'' on top of the transient tax, to ''repair'' the dilapidated properties.Â
Pidgeon Tennessee a "right to work for less state" what did they expect.
Story doesn't say much as to where the hotel is. Â I assume the US.
 @RandyH Pigeon Tennessee.
 @Lips  @RandyH It's actually Pigeon Forge Tennessee. It's next to Gatlinburg, Tennessee, the gateway to the Smokey Mountains.

Postings on TripAdvisor say that this hotel officially closed yesterday.
I can see a class action coming up
If not a class action, I for see these 3 people suing for amount owed. The business also cheated them out of there social security earnings, and such. I think this is worse the the dirtiest hotels, I think this one needs to be wiped off the face of the coast.
America in decline.... Thirdworld parasitic police state where the rich get richer and everyone else gets thier rights/freedom/dignity/privacy and money stripped from them.
@FrankCastle decline? When was it ever different?
 @FrankCastle Sounds like a Republican wet dream.
