Former federal agent saved by one in 20-million shot
A former federal agent is speaking out about a shooting that happened 25-years ago. That's when a gunman's bullet avoided hitting him by going into the barrel of his own weapon. He says it was a one in 20-million shot. Josh Rojas has the story.
Wow, this guy lives a charmed life. Glad he lived to tell about it. Take that Mythbusters!
25 years ago?

***clicks the red X***
How do they know it wasn't 1-in-250 million, and, why are we all of a sudden hearing yet another gun story, this one involving something that happened a quarter of a century ago?
 @PlayanekesÂ
Â
Because of imperial data.
Â
Of the known shots fired at people holding firearms pointed in such a way to make this feasible, one in 20 million of such shots end up where this one did.
Â
The data may be incomplete there is certainly error, but the error may be small enough to not warrant putting it into the story.

@Repoman @Playanekes "Emperical," meaning that the data were drawn from experience. If you are going to flaunt your so-called knowledge, it would be a good idea to know what you are talking about. You sound like Cliff Clavin.
@Mechanic Wow.....you went to dictionary.com..... Good for you.
Wow. Glad he survived. Glad the bad guy was eliminated from the gene pool.
How do they know it wasn't 1 in 10 million odds?
 @NGerblanskyÂ
This stuff can be calculated fairly accurately with distance and the percentage of the bullet that went into the barrel.
@RalphCramden @NGerblansky Ralph, you are way over your head on this one, and you have no idea how someone arrived at that statistic.
@Mechanic how about you go and figure the odds out mechanic? Let us know how long it takes you to catch the bullet.
