Schools fined over junkfood fundraisers
The goal was to sell snacks to raise money for some Texas high school booster clubs, but eight schools now face fines because those snacks broke nutrition rules mean to combat childhood obesity. Rachel McNeill reports from Houston.
$73,000?! That's extreme. To hell with the state guidelines! It's a damn FUND RAISER! Give me a break. I can understand enforcing the guidelines for school lunches, but a bake sale or something of that nature shouldn't be subjected to those guidelines.
Government is out of control. Next thing you know we will be charged with a crime for eating the wrong foods.
