Special camera puts viewers in the adventure

PORTLAND, Ore. - A local media company is creating pure eye candy - amazing 360-degree panoramic video that lets you experience the thrill of BASE jumping, explore Mount St. Helens from a helicopter's perspective or take any number of other trips right from your computer.

The videos are shot with a special 360-degree camera that is actually 11 cameras shooting simultaneously in every direction.

When stitched together, a globe is formed and on a computer screen you can drag the mouse around, up and down to see the images from every angle.

It's very cool and very fun to play with.

But don't take our word for it... try it out for yourself at Immersive Media's Web site.
