@RalphCramdenI agree; too many helpful people not thinking before reacting.  I would not go out on the ice in our region unless it was on a glacier (and only then with the proper training and equipment).
 @CTWU  @RalphCramden One year the big duck pond in Laurelhurst park in Portland froze just about solid and you could go out on it.  These people in this video are  in CA and clueless about ice. I guess they know better now. Very lucky no one died.
What I find interesting is that they start to bunch up and increases the weight per square foot. That is exactly what one should not do in this instance.

I used to drive in frozen over lakes. But the ice was 3 feet thick. I even drove across Lake Superior one year.
Somehow this whole video reminds me of congress.

I don't think that I have every seen a video of so many emotionally driven folks making one really bad decision after another.
