Portland chocolate maestro may have world's best job

PORTLAND, Ore. - Master Chocolatier Julien Rose makes Willy Wonka look like a muddling amateur.
Rose's confections look like miniature works of art. Or jewelry. Or both. And, of course, they taste as good as the look.
Rose is the man behind many of the amazing treats at Moonstruck Chocolate, where he said he is head of "research and development."
But most people would admit he probably has the best job in the world - and he clearly loves his work.
KATU photographer Monty Orrick captured the master at work.

So tasty, but so expensive.......
I would put this job a long way down the list of best jobs in the world.
@Oregon7812Â It would probably be my second choice. Li'l Abner had MY dream job: Mattress tester. In fact, I'd be willing to work both jobs at less than minimum wage.
@HenryBowman I used to get paid to break in jet skies.....I miss those days, well the warm ones anyway.
ohhhh i would love to work in a place like that.   Dam wish i had that kind of experience.
Best truffles and the best chocolate drinks! A close relative worked for them for a few years. Truffles that did not sell by the "best by" date, were available to employees to take home. Dangerous to have that much chocolate that close by...Â
tough to imagine this being the lunch time lead story.
@randola Yum!
@Sundowner @randola ~  Hey, at least it's a happy story..!  What's happier than chocolate,  unless it's chocolate-and-peanut butter..?  :-)
@Sundowner @margay1 @randola chocolate and sex are both sensual
@margay1 @randola I'd go with "hot monkey sex followed by a nice chocolate/peanut butter something", but what does sex/love have to do with this?  Oh, that's right......Â
Yum, it all looks so tasty!

@Dr. Rawdog I didn't see that much similarity to either the logo or the name....maybe if it was my business I'd understand Moonstruck's concern over it?  One way or the other, their truffles are awesome.  Excellent choice for a Valentine's Day gift but a little too late to pop it into the mail!  LOL!  =)
@Sundowner @Dr. Rawdog well i know where i gonna tell my husband to go today.  never had there truffles.  and if they can beat Vandyns truffles then they will have a regular customer. Â
If he's the man behind Moonstruck's keylime truffles, he's my hero.  Really spendy, only available at certain times of the year, to die for.  I bow down to you in wonder and awe, Julien Rose. Â
