Now that Thanksgiving is over, the Christmas holiday season is officially here. That means it's time to get the family favorite - the Christmas tree.
Of course, if you prefer a fake one to a live one, that'll be easy. Either you already have one stored away or you're probably planning on buying one this year.
But if you love the smell of a fresh tree in your house and want a real one, we've put together a list of options, including getting your own permit or visiting a tree farm or lot. And of course, if there's a Christmas tree farm or lot in your community that's not on the list, send us an email so we can add it!
TREE CUTTING PERMITS
Make a family trip out of the tree hunting experience by heading out in the woods to cut your own. Permits are fairly cheap.

your local fred meyer has what they refer to as fresh cut trees also, but they were cut in early October
I can't email them because I don't use outlook, so I'm going to post this here.There is a tree farm in Boring that is giving away free U-Cut trees. It's their last year doing it, so they're just working on clearing off their property. It's the one I go to every year. The guys are super nice and will cut it down with their chain saw if they're around, or you can use one of their saws. Any size, lots of shapes. (Douglas Fir).

There is a great organic u cut farm out between Donald & Aurora. $25 no matter the size, the aren't all sheerd and trimmed. We love it! Just east of mustard Seed Farms headed toward I-5..follow the signs. 20757 Case Rd., Aurora, Ore

Nope. I see no point in mutilating a perfectly good, healthy, oxygen-producing tree just to take it inside the house and decorate it with gaudy baubles and watch it as it dies a slow, lingering death.
