PORTLAND, Ore. – Do you love doughnuts? Do you love elephants?

If so, you’re in luck. Krispy Kreme will unveil its newest sweet treat this week: the Lily doughnut, named in honor of the Oregon Zoo’s youngest elephant.

The Lily doughnut is a crème-filled glaze with a pink icing elephant face on top. It will be available at local Krispy Kreme stores from June 14 through July 31 for $1.29, the Oregon Zoo said in a news release.

Some of the profits from the Lily doughnuts will go to the Oregon Zoo Foundation’s Campaign for the Elephants, which funds education and conservation activities at the zoo’s new Elephant Lands habitat. The new habitat is scheduled to open in 2015.

The zoo will hand out free original Krispy Kreme doughnuts to the first 500 visitors on Friday.
