Skibowl to play matchmaker with speed dating on the slopes
GOVERNMENT CAMP, Ore. - It's speed dating with a twist.
Coming up on Valentine's Day, skiers and snowboarders will get a chance to find that perfect someone on the slopes.
Mt. Hood Skibowl will have dedicated lift lines at the Lower Bowl chair - one for single men and the other for single women. Couples will get paired up for the ride up the mountain, which will give them a chance to get acquainted.
Skibowl will also be serving a variety of wines, cheese fondue and chocolate-covered strawberries to help set the mood.
The special Valentine's Day speed dating event will run from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 14.
Regular rates apply, but since every Thursday is 'College Night' at Skibowl, college students can take advantage of a 1/2 off night lift ticket.
NOTE TO MEN: Â Get rid of your 'stache before you head up there. Â Women do NOT like frozen snot in 'staches. Â Just sayin'.
