Murder suspect sought by police

PORTLAND, Ore. - One day after a man was found shot to death in a car in southeast Portland, police say they have identified a suspect.

An arrest warrant has been issued for 21-year-old Christopher Blackwell, the man investigators believe is the one who pulled the trigger.

The shooting happened around 2 a.m.Wednesday at the intersection of Southeast 101st Avenue and Division Street.

According to police, the victim, 31-year-old John William Stewart (pictured on the right), was sitting in the driver's seat of a parked car when another vehicle pulled up alongside and someone fired multiple shots.

Blackwell is now being sought by police in connection with the shooting. He is considered armed and dangerous.
