TIGARD, Ore. - Firefighters dispatched to fight a blaze in Tigard found a woman's body in the burning home Wednesday evening and police are now searching for a person of interest.
On Thursday, Tigard police tentatively identified the body found in the home as Alla Bogdonova, 21. Police say that Bogdonova occasionally resided at the home while she attended school nearby. Her parents own the home.
Police say the home is currently for sale and is being renovated. The owners reportedly moved out early in the year.
Police were attempting to locate Mikkal Kane Buxton, 30, of Portland. Investigators think Buxton was scheduled to meet with Bogdonova sometime on Wednesday at the Tigard home.

About 11 a.m. Thursday, KATU received an unconfirmed report from a television station in Reno, Nev., that Buxton had been apprehended there.
On Wednesday at about 7:30 p.m., police officers arrived at the home to find smoke coming from an upstairs window and called firefighters, who went inside and found the remains on the upper level of the home.
It was not yet known if the person found in the home was killed in the fire or if they died before the fire.
The homeowners have been notified about the incident. No one was supposed to be in the home. The homeowners reportedly have not lived in the home since early in the year.
The fire was quickly brought under control. The cause is under investigation. The fire and death of the person found inside are being called "suspicious."
