WELCHES, Ore. (AP) - A Clackamas County Sheriff's Deputy responding to a loud noise complaint in Welches discovered a marijuana grow operation.

Thursday night, after midnight, Deputy Brandon Claggett responded to investigate the complaint, which was on Hunchback Court.

When Claggett got out of his patrol car, he could hear loud music blaring from the residence about 150 feet away. As he approached, he detected a strong odor of fresh marijuana emanating from the garage area of the home. He then requested assistance.

A search warrant was successfully obtained and a 44-plant grow operation was found in the garage. Multiple pounds of dried and packaged marijuana in three different locations in the residence were found.

Patrick Piper-Younie, 26, was arrested at the scene.
