SEATTLE (AP) - Starbucks is recalling about 167,000 coffee mugs because the handles could fall off, spilling hot coffee.
The recall with the Consumer Product Safety Commission involves two styles of Starbucks 14-ounce Fusion Coffee Mugs made in China. The mugs are white and have a black plastic handle and a stainless steel base.
They sold in Starbucks shops for about $11.
Starbucks has received 23 reports of handles detaching and nine that resulted in minor burns.
Starbucks is offering a free beverage as an incentive to return the recalled mugs for a full refund.
