DALLAS, Ore. - Police in a small Oregon town located west of Salem say a local barber has been arrested on sex abuse charges.

Bruce Benkle was arrested in November but police have now released his photo and are asking any parents who may have left children with him unsupervised to come forward with any allegations of abuse.

Benkle also faces a charge of using a child in a display of sexually explicit conduct.

Police say Benkle had numerous victims, both male and female, ranging from early to late teens.

They said the abuse took place inside the barber shop that Benkle ran on Fairview Avenue in Dallas.

The barber shop is still open but has a new owner who had nothing to do with Benkle or the alleged crimes, according to police.

Police are telling parents whose children had any unsupervised contact with Benkle to contact them immediately.
