PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Highway officials briefly closed Oregon Highway 6 at its Coast Range summit on Thursday because of snow and ice that caused several accidents.

The highway links Tillamook and Portland.

The Oregon Department of Transportation says its crews put down sand and plowed the roadway, which reopened shortly after noon.
