Still waiting for your stimulus check?

PORTLAND, Ore. - KATU is continuing to receive e-mails from folks who filed their taxes early, got a direct deposit and their social security number ends between 00 and 20, but who have yet to receive their money.

So what gives?

Well, you likely fall into this category - people who filed their taxes online and had their tax preparation fee deducted directly from the amount of their refund, instead of paying the fee separately. 

That means your refund passed through the tax preparer's financial institution and did not come straight from the IRS.  In those cases, the IRS will send you a check by mail.
