SALEM, Ore. - Two people were run down when an altercation spilled out of a Salem restaurant and a driver sped away.
The hit-and-run happened around 10:45 p.m. Thursday in the parking lot of the Lucky Fortune Restaurant at 1401 Lancaster Drive N.E.
"I heard a racket come out (of the restaurant)," said Andrew Harrison, who saw what happened. "There was like four people that came out the door and it just got really loud. A gentleman jumped in the car and it got louder. And then he just slammed into reverse and I looked back in my rearview and there was a woman on the ground."
Police say there were two victims, who are now hospitalized. There is no word yet on their condition.
The car was found abandoned not far from the restaurant and whoever was in it was long gone.
Time to ban cars ...

Sounds like some people weren't so lucky at the Lucky Fortune Restaurant last night.
If I was getting into a car, trying to leave, and it was surrounded by people.. you'd better believe there'd be a body or two getting hit.
Better ban cars... It would stop this sort of thing...!!
@doejane At least reduce the amount of gas you can put in the tank and limit speed to 10 MPH.
Ya, but even the little old ladies would still be getting plowed, maybe less gas and even slower, just to give the old ladies a fighting chance.

Of course it was coming from a bar! We should replace all bars with Marijuana lounges and not only would the violence decrease, so would the drunk driving deaths.
I hope everyone comes out of this okay and they catch the guy, but that place don't sound so Lucky for some.
