Police search for rape suspect
By KATU Web StaffPORTLAND, Ore. - Police are looking for a registered sex offender they say attacked a Portland woman in her own home and who is still on the loose. However, police also said think they know who they're looking for. Officers combed the southeast industrial area of Portland Thursday and officers believe their suspect works at a warehouse in the neighborhood.
When they went to the suspect's place of work, they said he must have slipped out a back entrance and left the area. Police believe the suspect is 47-year-old Jackie Weeks, a registered sex offender. Weeks is described as 5 foot 10 inches tall, about 200 pounds and has sandy-colored hair and blue eyes. He has a large tattoo on his chest and may be wearing a gray T-shirt and camouflage pants. If you see the suspect, you are asked to call police and not confront him.
