Police discover chop shop in Milwaukie

MILWAUKIE, Ore. (AP) _ Clackamas County investigators made two arrests after finding stolen property at a Milwaukie house.

Detective Jim Strovink said Sunday that 29-year-old John Dupille and 26-year-old Cori Lee McCullar are accused of running a fencing operation and a chop shop for stolen vehicles and parts at a home at 5885 S.E. Harmony Road.

He said the property - stolen from at least 20 people - was being sold on Craigslist.com.

It included:

  • Two computers, along with a vast amount of victim articles of identification, checkbooks and personal papers.
  • An iPod, car stereos, construction tools, vests, hard hats, power tools, an air compressor and portable generator

Dupille has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, possession of a stolen motor vehicle and several drug violations.

McCullar faces charges of theft by receiving and methamphetamine possession.

Anyone who recognizes Dupille and McCullar from previous purchases on Craigslist was asked to call Detective Scott Eggleston at (503) 655-8487.
