Police have arrested a man accused of helping steal hundreds of pieces of mail from a mail carrier.

Police say the postal worker was beaten and threatened with a stun gun while he was delivering mail near southeast 69th and Knight Street on June 20.

Police say that as the postal worker was fighting back, a man swooped in and snatched hundreds of pieces of mail.

Police arrested Joshua Scott Carlson, 20, on Saturday in connection with the case. Carlson is being held on state and federal warrants.
