- ROSEBURG, Ore. - Police have identified the 14-year-old boy
accused of shooting a 16-year-old Roseburg High School classmate.
Roseburg Police Sergeant Aaron Dunbar says the suspect's name is
Vincent Wayne Leodoro.
Arraignment for Leodoro is set at 1:05 p.m. It will be on
closed-circuit T.V. He is being held in juvenile detention. Because
he is only 14, Leodoro could not be tried as an adult under Oregon
law.
Based on a police affidavit, Leodoro would be arraigned on
felony charges of attempted murder, assault, illegal use of a
firearm and illegal possession of a firearm.
After more than three hours of surgery yesterday, Monti is
listed in serious but stable condition.
Meanwhile, Monti was cited by police for harassment on a school
bus on February 14th. Dunbar says Monti spat on somebody.
Dunbar
says that incident did not involve Leodoro.
