PORTLAND, Ore. - A slow-moving landslide buried two cars and closed a West Hills street in Portland Friday.

The slide took place at 1221 Southwest Cardinell Drive near Portland State University.

The location is near a busy on-ramp feeding Interstate 405.

Jet 2 over the scene

The slide follows several days of heavy rain throughout the region.

No one was injured in the slide, and city crews are waiting for it to stop moving before they take action to clear it.

Two cars were partially buried in mud and rocks, but no one was in the cars when the slide took place at about 1:30 a.m. Friday morning.

A home located above the landslide is also threatened.
