CLACKAMAS COUNTY, Ore. - Authorities have identified a body recovered from the Clackamas River as a 46-year-old Eagle Creek woman who had been reported missing after she didn't return home from work.

Clackamas County Sheriff's Detective Jim Strovink said late Sunday that searchers found the body of Debra Mae Bennett about a half-mile down river from where her pickup is believed to have crashed into the swift current.

Bennett, 46, was reported missing Saturday morning, and her pickup was found submerged in the Clackamas River later that day near the entrance to Eagle Fern Park on Southeast Kitzmiller Road, Strovink said.

Officials were not able to immediately access the pickup due to the fast-moving water, but the truck appeared to have been badly damaged in a wreck, Strovink said.

Authorities were not sure what caused her to wreck.
