LONGVIEW, Wash. (AP) - A man found dead along the Columbia River near Longview last week was expected to testify against a man who is now a person of interest in his slaying.

The Cowlitz County Sheriff's Office told The Longview Daily News that 26-year-old Jeremy M. McLean of Longview was expected to testify against 51-year-old William Vance Reagan in a drug trial.

Reagan and his girlfriend, 47-year-old Victoria Louise Gatti, both of Longview, were arrested Saturday in a Portland motel room where police also found hair dye, fake IDs, new cell phones and thousands in cash. The Portland Police Bureau took the pair into custody on accusations of violating release conditions from a previous narcotics charge.

Reagan and Gatti are scheduled for trial this month on drug charges in Cowlitz County Superior Court.

The sheriff's office confirmed Monday that McLean was shot, but they declined to say where or whether he was shot more than one time.

He was reported missing on the night of Dec. 29, and his body was found Dec. 31 in Willow Grove park, along the Columbia River.
