The Deschutes County Sheriff's Office identified the man as 43-year-old John P. Garcia. According to the Deschutes County Sheriff's Office, Garcia was with a group snowmobiling near Elk Lake - located along the Cascades Lakes Highway southwest of Bend - when the wreck happened.
