OREGON CITY, Ore. (AP) - A pair of Clackamas County Sheriff's deputies have been cleared of any criminal wrongdoing in this month's fatal shooting of a 68-year-old man wanted on drug charges.

Deputy District Attorney John Wentworth said Wednesday that a grand jury deliberated for roughly three hours before clearing deputies Brian Lister and Jesse Ashby. Both will now return to active duty.

The deputies went to a Mulino address March 4 with arrest warrants for Hubert Henkel and his girlfriend. Investigators say Henkel was shot dead after he answered the door and pointed a shotgun at the deputies.
