Missing autistic teen found after search

UPDATE: The missing 18-year-old was found safe early Monday in a rural section of Clackamas County south of Oregon City. Police did not say where they believe the teen had been for several days. He was expected to be returned to his Milwaukie home.


MILWAUKIE, Ore. - Milwaukie police on Sunday were searching for a missing autistic teen believed to be endangered after he wrecked his car and disappeared.

Nathanael William Forbister, 18, left his Milwaukie home on Friday to attend classes at Portland Community College's Sylvania campus. He was driving a white 1991 Volvo 240 4-door with OR license UYC817.

The vehicle was found about 8 a.m. Saturday on Holly Street in Canby after it had wrecked. Forbister was last seen walking away from the vehicle after the crash. It was not known if he was injured or where he was going.

Forbister was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black jeans and black shoes. He is about 6 feet tall and 140 pounds with short brown hair, hazel eyes and has acne.
