PORTLAND, Ore. - Mayor Sam Adams faces new allegations of lying.

Wade Nkrumah, who once worked for the mayor as his spokesperson, has filed a notice for a claim against the city saying he intends to sue.  He is seeking $160,000 in damages.

Nkrumah resigned in January as the scandal surrounding the mayor and his relationship with Beau Breelove became headline news in Portland.

At that time, Adams told the media that Nkrumah had resigned because the job was not "what he signed up for in terms of stress."  But in Nkrumah's claim against the city he states that is not true, that he informed the mayor that he was leaving "because of the lies."
