Two Oregon men killed in Arizona plane crash

PORTLAND, Ore. - Two Oregon men have died in a plane crash in Arizona.

Sheriff's deputies there said the men took off from the Hillsboro Airport Friday night and crashed in a remote area about 30 miles northeast of Prescott, Arizona.

The pilot, 39-year-old Scott Resnick of Beaverton, was apparently on his way to his uncle's funeral.  Resnick was a shop manager and foreman at Northwest Aircraft Maintenance in Hillsboro.  Co-workers said he had been there for the past 10 years. He leaves behind a wife and children.

The passenger was 25-year-old Daylon Harrington, also from Beaverton.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board.
